Household Tips from Brian: This month, in honor of Earth Day last month, go green by forgetting to put detergent in the washer! Bonus: When you go and rewash all your clothes, you’ll be using half as much detergent per wash!

(This is funny enough, but it contains one of my favorite lines I’ve ever written, and it’s oh so easy to miss: “This month, in honor of Earth Day last month…”)

Problem: laundry is overfilling my hamper. Proposed solution: acquire second hamper.
